St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin

A longstanding culture and federally recognized tribe.

During the early 1700s, many Ojibwe began making the St. Croix area their home and in 1934, with the passage of the Indian Reorganization Act, the St. Croix River Indians were given federal recognition as “St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin”. The ADRC is proud to serve the tribe as part of the Polk and Burnett communities.
