Social Transportation

The ADRC Van and Mini Bus are wheelchair accessible vehicles used to provide transportation for shopping, errands, and special events for elderly and persons with disabilities living within Polk and Burnett Counties. The van can accommodate 3-5 individuals and the mini bus can accommodate 8-10 individuals. Trips are scheduled and coordinated by the ADRC of Northwest Wisconsin and are advertised here and in our monthly newsletter, The Voice. Call our office 5 days in advance to reserve a spot for a trip.

View the Social Transportation Program Schedule and register for a trip.  You can also register for a trip by calling us at 877-485-2372

Custom Social Trips

Do you have a different trip or event in mind? Give us a call if you want to go to a location/event that is not included in the schedule. We ask that you call right away, invite friends, and be flexible (if you can be) with dates. We will do our best to accommodate every trip. Note: The ADRC of Northwest Wisconsin reserves the right to limit travel distance for custom social trips and this will be determined on a case by case basis.

Cost of Social Group Trips (Pre-scheduled and Custom Group Social Trips)

$1/trip for Burnett and Polk County residents; $5/trip for residents outside of Polk and Burnett Counties. Riders from outside of Polk and Burnett Counties must call ahead to reserve a seat, may be bumped from the trip for a resident of Polk or Burnett Counties, and must meet the van or mini bus within the service area of Polk or Burnett Counties.

Private/Individual Use

We offer the option to reserve the ADRC Van for private or individual use. Different rates apply. Please call us for pricing information.

To Get Started

The demographic information required to use our ADRC van is less and can be completed over the phone when you call to reserve a seat on the van for a shopping/errand trip or special event. You can also download the demographic form to print, complete, and send in to make that phone call quicker and easier!
